Mabuhay and welcome to the Philippines!
In 16 days of island-hopping through the Philippines, we will explore the bustling nightlife in Manila, swim with whale sharks, snorkel in crystal clear waters, camp on the beach under the stars, discover Filipino culture, learn the language (some of it, anyway), and enjoy the best sunsets on earth! Meet the locals, kayak through caves, enjoy endless beers and cocktails on the beach and the best part is that you’ll be doing it all with a group of like-minded travellers – so if you are planning to travel solo, no need to worry as 90% of the people who join us are solo travellers as well!
If you’re looking to do the Philippines right, meet new people, experience the culture and have the time of your life, then make Do The Philippines your next adventure!
This morning after waking up to the most epic sunrise of your life, continue to sail up north, to start exploring the eastern part of Culion. Among other things, you will discover what is probably the most beautiful sandbar in Palawan, in Ditaytayan island… After a night spent on a beach, we will head to Coron for a new island hopping tour, to discover its snorkeling spots filled with thousands of fish! As the sun sets today, we dock in Coron, the end point of our amazing expedition! We head to our hotel in Coron for some much-deserved rest. If you are up for it, join the group and head out for dinner and explore the bars in town.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
Accommodation: Boutique hostel
The Do The Philippines group tour starts at 6pm at Z Hostel, Makati. You should fly into Manila airport, which is approximately a 45-minute taxi ride to Z Hostel (depending on traffic). If your flight arrives after 5pm, it’s best to arrive on the day before the tour start date so you don’t miss out on any of the excitement. We can arrange your accommodation for the night before if needed. Extra nights will be approx. $20AUD per night.
Staying on After the Philippines tour?
We don’ blame you, who wants to leave paradise? The tour finishes on the beautiful island of Siargao. If you’re staying on longer in the Philippines, your group leader can help organise all of your onward travel. If you’re just doing the Do the Philippines trip and then heading home, it’s a short van ride to Siargao airport (your tour leader can organise this for you) and a 1 hour 45-ish minute flight to Manila. There is one direct flight per day from Siargao arriving in Manila at around 6:30PM so the earliest we recommend booking an onward flight out of Manila is around 9 pm on day 16.
Travel insurance for this trip is compulsory. Your Group Leader will ask to see proof of your cover before your trip begins. We have teamed up with World Nomads Travel Insurance to make the process super easy, grab yourself a quote HERE.
Most nationalities including Australia, UK, Europe, NZ, Canada, and the US do not need a visa to enter the Philippines. If you plan to stay in the Philippines for longer than 30 days you will need to extend your visa for a fee of approximately $80 AUD. We recommend checking with your local Philippines consulate for up to date visa requirements and costs. If you need any further help with visas just contact us.
